Smart baking soda tips are all over the web these days but do they really work? I don’t know about what other blogs say but the 13 smart baking soda tips I’m sharing below do work.

How do I know? In my years of interest in homesteading, even Dads like me do housework from time to time.

Plus, some of these tips came from neighbors and other baking soda tips tested over the years.

I was wondering the same when I noticed how this ‘miracle powder’ has been gaining popularity lately, and it’s small wonder why Baking soda has been known as a sort of miraculous white powder for a while because of the wide array of things you can use it for.

It doesn’t matter how small or how daunting the issue is, be it at home, the garden or the kitchen – baking soda saves the day!

Baking Soda Freshens Crisper Bins

If your crisping bin has an unpleasant smell, just sprinkle a little bit of baking soda on it to take care of the odor problem.

You can also place the baking soda on a paper towel, fold it like an envelope and change every 2-3 months for a crisping bin which smells fresh all the time!

Baking Soda Cleans Up Greasy BBQ Grills

And it does that like a boss! If you are into summer grilling, you’d know the worst part of grilling is dealing with your grill after all the delicious grilling adventures.

To clean the grill up, simply make a baking soda paste, apply it directly on the messy grill, wait 15-30 minutes and wipe the grease and mess away! If there’s any residue, just let the grill burn it up when you’re grilling another batch of your grilling adventures.

Baking Soda Can Be Used as a Homemade Scouring Powder

One of my favorite smart baking soda tips is this one. Just mix 1 cup each of coarse salt, borax and baking soda and use it to scour whatever needs to be scoured away. Simple.
